Course Summary

This course will prepare participants to use simple rope systems for moving people and equipment on gentle slopes and steeper embankments. The curriculum also includes patient packaging and extrication. We use a step-by-step, hands-on approach that makes it easy to learn these skills ... and easy to remember! Be prepared ... when you head for the hills!

Prerequisites
  • 18+ years of age
  • In good physical condition
Price

$795 (includes helmet and harness rental)

Recertification

Repeat the entire course at a 15% discount every three years

Required Equipment
  • Class III full-body harness or separate chest and sit harnesses (included in course fee)
  • Climbing helmet (included in course fee)
  • Sturdy boots (hiking boots are fine)
  • Pants made of durable material
  • Gloves with leather palms (work gloves are fine)
