Course Summary

Rescue others from an IDLH confined space

This 4 day course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and efficiently perform a rescue from an IDLH (immediately dangerous to life and health) confined space. It is comprehensive and hands-on with realistic scenarios to allow students to gain confidence in this high risk environment.

NFPA 1670 and 1006 compliant.

This course satisfies EOCP continuing education requirements.

4 days

Format

1 day class room, 3 days confined space simulator or on-site

Participants

Minimum 10. Maximum 12.

Prerequisites
  • 18+ years of age
  • In good physical condition
Price

$895 (includes helmet and harness rental)

Recertification

Repeat the entire course at a 15% discount every three years.

Required Equipment
  • Coveralls or durable clothing
  • Steel-toed work boots
  • Leather palmed gloves (rope glove or work glove)
  • Helmet (included in course fee)
  • Harness (class III or separate chest and sit harness)
