Services Databox

We're your partner for every phase of your project.

From site assessments; to developing safe work procedures; to supplying a standby team; to the creation of an entire safety program from beginning to end.

When it comes to safety, no project is too big ... or too small.

Water and Ice Standby Rescue

Train Your Own Personnel ... or Hire Ours

If you have work to complete in a water or ice environment, hire our standby rescue personnel for a few hours, several days, or for multiple weeks. It's often the most efficient solution in terms of time and money spent (here's some free advise on how to choose between in-house training, or hiring a rescue standby team)... and it's definitely the safest.

Our safety and rescue professionals can serve as stand-alone resources, or as a supplement to your own emergency response teams. We have a track record of working with clients in a manner that meets both their operational standards and best practices. And there's never any "blow back" because our technicians meet provincial and national OSH standards including WCB, ANSI, CSA and NFPA.

Avoid The Silo Effect

We're more than a one-trick pony.  We have the ability to transfer quickly and seamlessly from providing standby services to providing custom safety documentation, or from providing rescue training to getting your crew in the right PPE. Transitions always come with a price tag, and we're here to meet all your technical needs in one fell swoop.

What Happens When You Hire Our Standby Team?

While every project is completely different, they generally take the following steps:

  1. First, you'll work with our office team to define the needs of your site and project - anything from jetboat and swift or flat water to technical rope, confined space, or ice.
  2. We'll prepare a cache of the specific technical equipment required to control hazards and perform rescues at your site.
  3. Our teams work in a minimum of two. After they arrive at your site, they'll perform a hazard assessment of the worksite in question.
  4. Next, additional documentation will be drafted which, at minimum, includes a rescue plan.
  5. Once your job begins, our technicians will perform a hazard safety briefing on a daily basis.
  6. When your job completes, copies of all documentation will be made available to you for your records.

Equipment Inspections

The purpose of equipment inspections is to identify and remove from service products that are damaged, degraded, defective, or do not meet manufacturer requirements. Raven Rescue inspects items to check for defects, cuts, swelling, damage wear and corrosion due to use, heat and sun exposure, and contact with chemicals. The end goal is twofold:

  • to avoid premature and costly replacement of equipment that is still in working order
  • to protect users against product failure

Raven Rescue's equipment inspection service includes colour-coded idetification tagging for the items in your cache, which provides easy cross-referencing to our final report, and visual identification of the item's last year of inspection.

We can provide this service on your site, or alternatively you can ship or deliver your equipment to our Equipment Warehouse in Smithers, BC.

Contact us to get a quote for an inspection of your cache: 1 800 880 0287.

TESTIMONIALS

Adam Galbraith, Firefighter
Richmond Fire Department

As a full time firefighter in the lower mainland, I have been to many courses, and by far this one was one of the best! Craig Gerrard is born to do this. Not only is he a wealth of important knowledge, he is able to communicate this knowledge without ego, in a positive manner, that harbours a fun, challenging, and useful course.
