Technical Rescue Academy

One Month of Jam-Packed Training

Every year, our Technical Rescue Academy brings together a series of courses - taught by top instructors - specifically designed for fire fighters, search & rescue volunteers, and industrial ERT personnel. Whether you are hoping to gain employment in the emergency response field, or you’re a seasoned veteran - you’re sure to find a course that will expand your operational range.

What's the deal?

Take one course during the Academy at our regular price and then any additional Academy course you take is 15% off*.  You can take one Academy course, or all of them - whatever you want. When you take two or more Academy courses, all your rental equipment is free*.  Individuals that take multiple courses are recognized by their instructors and Raven Rescue in many different ways throughout the Academy.

Which courses are generally included in the Academy?

  1. Technical Rope Rescue - Technician
  2. Pro Board - Rope
  3. Swiftwater Rescue Technician - Level One
  4. Swiftwater Rescue Technician - Advanced

Every year, we always include a few special additions to the lineup above.

James Teksey
Engineering Technician

Thyren was great, he certainly moved us out of our comfort zones in order to build our confidence, and he did so with great enthusiasm. The training provided us with the essential skills and confidence required to complete our work. Since the training was completed, we have run Little Jackpine Rapids twice, with confidence, enthusiasm and without incident.
